Call for Nominations for 2021 CACA Young Investigator Award

The Chinese American Chromatography Association (CACA) invites nominations for candidates for the 2021 CACA Young Investigator Award. The Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the development of separation science and its applications, especially in the field of chromatography. The 2021 CACA Young Investigator Award (YIA) is sponsored by Advanced Materials Technology (https://www.advanced-materials-tech.com/) and will be presented virtually at the Pittcon Conference & Expo 2021 to be held on March 8 – 12, 2021. A $1000 cash and a plaque will be awarded to the winner.
The CACA Young Investigator Award is open to all CACA members who are within ten years of receiving their highest degrees at the time of the award session.

The CACA Awards committee will evaluate application packages. The applicants are judged on the originality and overall quality of work, significance to the advancement of separation science, and other supporting factors. Measures of the impact of the work include publications, presentations, patents, and leadership roles at their research fields or place of business.
An application package must consist of the following items,
- A cover letter summarizing the applicant’s contribution to the field of separation science.
- A resume including contact information, academic credentials, work experience, and publication list of the nominee.
- In the cover letter, please include two references (email and phone) from mentors, supervisors, colleagues, or other experts, who can testify to the candidate's accomplishments. References will be contacted.
- A headshot photo.
The candidates can be self-nominated or nominated by any separation scientists in the field. The deadline for the 2021 CACA Young Investigator Award nomination is December 31, 2020. The awardee will be selected by the CACA Awards Committee and notified by January 15, 2021. Details of CACA and its free membership are listed at http://www.ca-ca.org/.
