Dear CACA Members and Chromatography Colleagues,

The Chinese American Chromatography Association (CACA) will organize a networking dinner and a workshop at Pittcon 2017 (March 5 – 9, 2017) in Chicago.

The dinner event will be held on Tuesday evening (6:00 -9:00 pm, March 7th) at Phoenix Restaurant (2131 S Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60616). Transportation will be provided. We will present CACA Young Investigator Award to Dr. Shuang Yang of FDA. Our guest speaker is Dr. Perry Wang from US FDA. He will present a very interesting talk on “The Perfect Marriage-Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry”.

The career development workshop on “How to be successful in your career” is scheduled on Sunday afternoon (March 5th) from 1:30 PM to 4:45 PM in Room W184a. The invited speakers will be Prof. Milton L Lee from Brigham Young University, Dr. Christopher Pohl, VP of Chromatography Chemistry R&D from Thermo Fisher Scientific, Prof. Peter T Kissinger from Purdue University, Ms. Linda Dejesus, VP of APAC Commercial Operations from Thermo Fisher Scientific, CACA Young Investigator Award winner, Dr. Shuang Yang, and Student Excellence Winners (sponsored by Shimadzu Corp) Ms. Zijun Bie (Nanjing U), Mr. Casey Burton (Missouri U) and Mr. Stephen Groskreutz (U Pittsburgh).

The detailed agenda for the networking dinner and the bus transportation information will be posted on the CACA website as well as on the LinkedIn CACA group website. CACA will subsidize 50% of the dinner cost for students and unemployed attendees.
