The Chinese American Chromatography Association (CACA) invites applications for a 2017 CACA Best Student Award. The Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the development of separation science and its applications, especially in the field of chromatography. The award will be announced at the CACA workshop to be held at Pittcon 2017 (March 5-9, Chicago, IL, USA) with the presentation of a $500 cash award. The awardee is requested to give a presentation at the CACA workshop at Pittcon 2017 in Chicago.
Eligibility:
The CACA Student Award is open to all CACA members who are graduate students at the time of the award session.

Evaluation:
Application packages will be evaluated by the CACA Awards committee. The applicants are judged on the originality and overall quality of research, significance to the advancement of separation science and other supporting factors.
Application package:
An application package must consist of the following items,
- A cover letter summarizing the applicant’s contribution to the field of separation science.
- A resume including contact information, academic credentials, work experience, and a publication list.
- A supporting letter from the mentor, research director or supervisor.
- A headshot photo.
The candidates can be self-nominated or nominated by any separation science experts in the field. The deadline for the 2017 CACA Student Travel Award application is May. 20, 2016. The awardee will be selected by the CACA Awards committee and notified by June 1st, 2016. Details of CACA and its free membership are listed at http://www.ca-ca.org/.
