The Chinese American Chromatography Association (CACA) invites applications for two 2018 CACA Student Excellence Award. The Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the development of separation science and its applications, especially in the field of chromatography. The 2018 CACA Student Excellence Award is supported by Mac-Mod Analytical (http://www.mac-mod.com/) and will be announced at the CACA network dinner event to be held at Pittcon 2018 (February 26 – March 1, 2018, Orlando, FL, USA) with the presentation of a $500 cash award. The awardee is requested to participate in the CACA network dinner event at Pittcon 2018 in Orlando.
Eligibility:
The CACA Student Excellent Award is open to all CACA members who are graduate students at the time of the award session. Two awards are planned at this time.

Evaluation:
Application packages will be evaluated by the CACA Awards committee. The applicants are judged on the originality and overall quality of research, significance to the advancement of separation science, and other supporting factors.
Application package:
An application package must consist of the following items,
- A cover letter summarizing the applicant’s contribution to the field of separation science.
- A resume including contact information, academic credentials, work experience, and a publication list.
- A supporting letter from a mentor, research director or supervisor.
- A headshot photo.
The candidates can be self-nominated or nominated by any separation science experts in the field. The deadline for the 2018 CACA Student Excellence Award application is December 15, 2017. The awardee will be selected by the CACA Awards committee and notified by Jan. 15, 2018. Details of CACA and its free membership are listed at http://www.ca-ca.org/.
