Call for Nominations for the 2022 CACA Student Excellence Awards

The Chinese American Chromatography Association (CACA) invites applications for two 2022 CACA Student Excellence Award. The Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the development of separation science and its applications, especially in the field of chromatography. The 2022 CACA Student Excellence Award (SEA) is supported by Mac-Mod Analytical ( ) and Shimadzu ( The awards will be announced and presented at Pittcon 2022 (March 5-9, 2022, in Atlanta, GA). A $500 cash award and a plaque will be awarded to each winner.



The CACA Student Excellent Award is open to all CACA members who are graduate students at the time of the award session. Two awards are planned at this time.

The CACA Awards committee will evaluate application packages.  The applicants are judged on the originality and overall quality of research, significance to the advancement of separation science, and other supporting factors.

Application package:

An application package must consist of the following items,

  • A cover letter summarizing the applicant’s contribution to the field of separation science.
  • A resume, including contact information, academic credentials, work experience, and a publication list.
  • In the cover letter, please include two references (email and phone) from mentors, supervisors, colleagues, or other experts, who can testify to the candidate's accomplishments. References will be contacted.
  • A headshot photo.

The candidates can be self-nominated or nominated by any separation science experts in the field. The 2021 CACA Student Excellence Award application deadline is December 31, 2021. The awardee will be selected by the CACA Awards Committee and notified by January 15, 2022. Details of CACA and its free membership are listed at
