Please register for Choose Wisely: The Importance of Phase Chemistry and Particle Architecture on Small and Large Molecule U/HPLC Separations on Feb 26, 2020 12:00 PM EST at:

Cory E. Muraco, M.Sc.
Global Franchise Manager, Liquid Chromatography Technology

There are a plethora of columns for the analytical chromatographer to choose from in liquid chromatography (LC). From many different types of reversed-phase chromatography (RPC) chemistries to column chemistries dedicated to hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC), the choice of the right chemistry for a given application can be the difference between success or failure in separating a mixture of compounds. In addition, different particle architectures (fully porous particles, superficially porous particles, and monoliths) add additional complexity regarding selecting the right column.

This seminar will focus on choosing the right column based on the application and goals of the separation. After an overview of the role of ligand chemistry and particle architecture in eliciting separation of compounds, demonstrative application examples will be reviewed putting theory to practice. These applications will include both small molecules and biomacromolecules. At the end of the seminar, the engaged audience member will gain an understanding and appreciation of the importance of phase chemistry and particle architecture in generating excellent separation of compounds in analytical chromatography assays.

Key Learning Objectives:
• Utilize chromatographic selectivity to maximize resolution
• Choosing the right particle architecture to maximize sensitivity
• Optimize HPLC / UHPLC method development workflows

Who Should Attend:
• Method developers for UHPLC and HPLC methods in pharmaceutical, chemical, clinical, environmental, agrichemical, CRO, university and governmental laboratories.
• Method developers analyzing small or large molecules
